Get Help for Your Loved One in Canton Ohio

As we grow older and remain independent in our homes sometimes the place we love so dearly presents some obstacles. We may not be as steady on our feet as before which can lend itself to trips and devastating falls, some in which we may never fully recover. So what do we do when we are still not only mobile but active? Emergency pendants are one answer. Emergency pendants can be worn around the neck or clipped to pants, sweaters, etc or placed in a pocket. Some devices even work outside of the home anywhere cell service is present. With a simple press of the button your loved one is connected to the nearest 911 dispatch station so they can receive immediate help.

Emergency pendants should be considered when one is recovering from an injury, as a supplement to home care or peace of mind knowing help is seconds away with a push of a button.

If you have a loved one who lives alone, now you can have peace of mind knowing that help is just a push button away. The 911 pendant connects to the nearest 911 dispatch center and lets your loved one communicate via a built-in microphone and speaker. Call Rather Be Home today: 330-526-0483 to talk about how our pendant and also professional care service are right for your loved one. Rather Be Home helps your loved one Live Independently.

Deidre Scott, Founder

Owner, Founder at Rather Be Home Senior Care
Deidre Scott is the founder of Rather Be Home and has always found her passion in the health and well-being of others. Shortly after receiving her bachelor's degree she worked for Bristol Myers-Squibb as a cardiovascular representative. Her specialties included blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol. She then worked 15 years with Procter & Gamble where she educated Veterinarians on how nutrition could help nutritionally manage various disease states such as kidney failure, colitis and diabetes in cats and dogs. During that time she pursued her education further and received her MBA.

She founded Rather Be Home in 2014 after seeing the tribulations her friends were having with their aging parents. Hard decisions need to be made and no one knows where to go for help. Having lived with her grandparents most of her childhood and helping her grandma care for her grandpa it just seemed natural to open a home care business. Deidre is also a certified instructor for CPR/First Aid & AED through the American Red Cross and a State Tested Nurse Aide registered through the Ohio Department of Health. Currently she is undergoing classes to become a Certified Senior Advisor. She sets rigorous standards for her company as well as the caregivers she employs.
